Valenzuela's Veritas

In ominous times truth always finds a way out from darkness into light. Always. Through truth knowledge grows into the power and strength to question the actions of governance. In times that try men's souls it is those who seek enlightenment who are truly free. Given the choice of possessing ignorance or knowledge, even when ignorance would lead to an easier life, I would choose knowledge, thus escaping the life of sheeple, escaping the bondage of not knowing, not caring and not understanding.

Because There is No Cause

Into History’s Cauldron

In an immoral war with no cause, in an aggressive invasion without reason, in a dehumanizing occupation with no justification, those pawns fighting the battles implemented by elite warmongers and corporatists in power have no enthusiasm to risk their lives, sacrifice their minds and endanger their bodies to the horrors befalling men fighting their fellow men. Yet today, in the lands of deserts ancient and wise, where once glorious rivers provided fertility allowing civilization to blossom, where ancient cities sprung forth, prospered and were erased from history, where for millennia society had evolved even before the first Europeans had settled the Americas, in a culture thousands of years old, a product of ceaseless wars and human catastrophe and foreign invasions and cascading conflagrations, that is exactly what is happening to American soldiers.

Through the caste draft upon their socially engineered destinies, designed by the assembly lines of indigence, vanquished talent and non-existent opportunity to manufacture the armed forces protecting and defending the interests of those in power, thousands of ordinary men and women have been sent to alien lands to wage war under false pretenses, doing battle with a native population historically accustomed to defending their homes, lands and ways of life from a never-ending stream of invaders and occupiers. This newest assault on Iraq, the Corporate Crusade, is but the latest to seek the lands, riches, strategic position, peoples and resources of a region unforgiving both in its unwelcome environment and in the temerity of its inhabitants in defending themselves.

Into history’s cauldron have American troops been sent to wage war and decimate cities, lands and lives. Provided with the most lethal instruments of war the military- industrial complex has devised, manufactured and designed using the creative genius of human wickedness, whose purpose is the greatest infliction of death, maiming and destruction possible, the soldiers in the army of the corporate Leviathan are enveloped in a torrential downpour of guerilla warfare, surrounded by a 25 million strong populace supportive of the Iraqi freedom fighters and resistance decimating the invading forces. The battlefield is the city, block to block, street to street and house to house, using the weaker opponent’s strengths to the detriment of the stronger force’s weaknesses.

Yet these men and women, courageous as they may be, are destined to return in defeat from a war with no cause, fighting for lies and deceits, because while they wage war for immoral and unjust purposes, with no clear definition beyond government and corporate media propaganda, the resistance fights for freedom and liberation and against illegal foreign invaders and occupiers. Freedom fighters have had their lands stolen, their society destroyed, their cities razed. Families and loved ones have been buried in rubble, burned and charred, lying dead and maimed, made refugees in their own nation. One hundred thousand lie buried in the mass grave of American occupation, making Bush the mirror image of the dictator he so desperately wanted overthrown. And we wonder why freedom fighters fight and the wage guerilla war against occupiers?

Thousands of innocents sit imprisoned in Saddam’s jails, now turned American gulags, tortured, dehumanized, sodomized and raped, robbed of the very freedom the so-called liberators once promised. Thousands more suffer from the loss of life or limb, sons and daughters, fathers and mothers killed or wounded indiscriminately, whether in the countless check points scattered about or in the callous disregard for human life of fighter jets dropping a potpourri of cluster bombs, daisy cutters, napalm, 2,000 pound bombs and a vast assortment of missiles into cities and neighborhoods. And we dare question why Iraqis resist the invaders?

The thoughts of liberty and freedom and democracy once propagated but never delivered by the nation born espousing life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness have ceased to exist. To the Iraqis, hypocrisy of altruism in the face of realism, pontificated only after lies and deceits eroded, blurted out more as propaganda to control the American people than to make believers of Iraqis, have served as a reminder that America only serves its capitalistic and corporate interests and that the welfare of the Iraqi people is of little importance next to the usurpation of oil and water resources and geo-strategic control of Middle East territory. The reality of what America has done with Iraq and to Iraqis, nothing less than the methodical destruction of its society, its cities and its foundations, in an onslaught of violence and collective punishment, perfected and taught by Israel, designed to achieve native submission and occupier control, has turned an entire population against the invaders and in full support of the resistance, making expelling illegal occupiers and invaders the duty and indeed the responsibility of most Iraqis.

In a land where tyranny has replaced tyranny, where radiation poison fills the air, land and water, forever burrowing into the bodies of millions and the soils of time, where missiles and napalm rain down from above and bullets and artillery whiz by from below, where controlled order and safety has given way to human hell and unmitigated chaos, where virtuous men and women have mutated into savage cold-blooded murderers and sadists thanks to the evil they have both witnessed and perpetrated in the name of freedom, and where the triumph of the human spirit can be seen both in the Iraqi unwillingness to succumb to humiliating occupation and in its courageous fight against the world’s greatest military machine, the reasons and will to fight by Iraqis can be seen.

Throughout the world their cause gains acceptance and support. More and more it is seen that their resistance has cause, their purpose merit. They have reason to fight, sacrificing themselves for freedom from occupation and love of nation. Over two centuries ago Americans were doing the same, bravely fighting tyranny and oppression, expelling from their lands a foreign entity, knowing that they fought with just cause leading the way, lighting in their hearts purpose and confidence that what they were doing was right. It is when the cause is just and the resistance valid that victory is assured, for those seeking freedom fight with the knowledge that the moral high ground is theirs. When invaded and occupied the fire inside is lit, for the human spirit is strongest when confronted by wrong. Outgunned and outspent, the resistance nonetheless triumphs over time, possessing what the invading armies lack, namely the security of purpose and the conviction of right. Without these, morale plummets and the fighting spirit dies, for when there is no cause, in an aggressive war of choice, offensive and without purpose, immoral and corrupt, based on lies and for profit, entire armies crumble and are defeated.

Make no mistake, many American soldiers know they have been deceived, told lie after lie, manipulated into making enemies of innocents, fighting for corporate profit and not principle, defending not America but corrupt capitalism, freeing not Iraqis but the devil’s excrement, exploited and abused, treated like expendable refuse, drafted and redrafted like slaves and serfs of old, unable to escape the War Department’s tentacles of conscription, callously left exposed to death and injury due to greed, left to die in a hornet’s nest of anger and vengeance, surviving day to day in spite of their leadership’s incompetence and indifference, fighting for survival and not just cause. Because there is no cause they are being defeated by a weaker army that possesses both the will to fight and the patience to endure, willing to die for freedom from American occupation and forever confident that while they grow strong, the invader grows weak, unsure of why they fight, not wanting to die for a lie, not wanting to be sacrificed for the bottom line. The American army fights to survive and protect each other, to escape the hell the warmongers, chickenhawks and armchair generals have sent them into and to one day soon be able to return home to be hugged by family and embraced by the normalcy that once enveloped them.

In a year and a half, this army of death, unknowingly enslaved to its corporatist masters, has done the bidding of those not bothered by the death of 100,000 people, the maiming of countless more or the complete destruction of entire cities, unleashing massive suffering and dehumanization on Iraqis. Yet into history’s cauldron is this army immersed, slowly hemorrhaging to death, their appendages severed, their bodies burned and their minds condemned to eternal hell. For their masters have sent them to die, to be used as pawns in the chess game of power and control, treated like cannon fodder and as unthinking robots trained to push the buttons, triggers and levers of the War Department’s instruments of malice that unleash human violence upon the world, American style. These men and women, which the horrors of war succeed in mutating into barbaric monsters possessed by the demons of human malice, have laid waste to an entire society, importing into a once stable nation torture, rape, murder, mass graves, cruelty, xenophobia, destruction, untold levels of suffering and collective punishment onto a culture that never threatened, never attacked and never deserved the savagery being perpetrated onto it.

Sent to secure the oil and the people and the lands and the society needed by American capitalism to exploit, profit and subjugate, the army of enslaved grunts finds itself living in a hell of its own making, in a land alien and unknown, fighting a people too long accustomed to the wickedness of humanity and the suffering of tyranny. They have been sent by their masters into history’s cauldron, and slowly but surely, in the day to day battles and the hourly demons of clandestine guerilla warfare, they are being defeated, both in body and mind, their strengths becoming their greatest weaknesses, their leaders living in a fantasy world and their corporate masters indifferent to the numbers dying and injured because in the end, the profit motive commands and the corporatist corruption of humanity continues.

Profit over people, the Almighty Dollar over Human Flesh, the corporatist way is guided by apathy, immorality and unconcern for humanity, where the death of 100,000 Iraqis and 5,000 Americans, not to mention the wounding of thousands more, kneels down to the bottom line of billions of dollars in profits. Its interests must be served, its power augmented, and only by using the lower castes of American society can this be achieved, regardless of the number dead, maimed, burned, traumatized, stressed and diseased. It matters not that thousands are being sacrificed in mind and spirit, forever to be tormented by an immoral and unjust war concocted for the benefit of a few. This is a Corporate Crusade, after all, where American soldiers are but easily replaceable drones by that magic assembly line called human procreation and social engineering.

Only when the certain inevitability of defeat arrives will reality emerge in the eyes of the Establishment, and only then, when the mixed blood of both American and Iraqis fills the rivers and the deserts, only when the wails of suffering become deafening, only when the world and those residing inside the belly of the beast stand up and say “enough,” will this human hell cease to live. Defeat is a certainty that has befallen this latest and most wicked foray of crony capitalism and market colonialism into lands of dark-skinned humans living in “third world” nations. Its reality is upon us, only waiting for warmongers and ego-driven greed addicts to awaken from their bubble of arrogance, self-denial and malfeasance. Reality waits for the People to demand an end to human malice and a return to human compassion. Only then will the cauldron of history, that manifestation laying waste to American forces, release from its grip the thousands sent into a hornet’s nest of unforgiving karma.

The cauldron of history is unmerciful and savage in its resistance to occupation and exploitation, for the lands and people of Iraq have weathered the storm of human wickedness over and over again, fighting, struggling and resisting for millennia. Iraq’s scars and past are testament to this truth. So, now, it seems, is America’s present, festering with the scabs of a war that cannot be won, haunted by the death of thousands snuck in under cover of darkness and media blackouts, sickened by the maiming of body and mind of thousands more and still unwilling to accept the reality of thousands now buried that have yet to be officially counted in a macabre cooking of the books by the propagandists and liars in government intent on keeping us ignorant to the true sacrifices and tragedies of a war with no cause.

Across this Mesopotamian landscape can be seen the ruins of cities destroyed, armies slain and empires fallen. The battlefields of times long forgotten and those of times not ever recorded have been eroded and covered up by the sand dunes of time, yet their ghosts remain visible, not in the dust or the rock, but in the minds of modern man and behaviors ingrained in the human condition. For as long as man exists war and death and destruction will soon follow, demonizing our species as they have since time immemorial, refusing to release us from the bondage they have enveloped humankind with since we lived in trees and hung on branches.

Iraq stands inside the Fertile Crescent, the birthplace of agriculture and domesticated livestock and the human ecosystem, the city. In its ancient lands stands the Cradle of Civilization, that monumental leap forward where humanity arose from the wake of nomadic wonderings to give rise to the communal brain. It was here that the rivers Tigris and Euphrates provided fertile land for farming and succulent water for habitation, making ancient humans prosper and thrive. Along with prosperity, however, there soon mutated in the human animal the need for property, resources, power and dominion over all things wanted and sought. Greed, jealousy, addiction to power and desires to quash competition brought forth war, pitting small city against small city, rising empire versus falling kingdom. Humans had been moved to the city, taking the human out of the animal world but failing to take the animal out of the human world.

Yet if civilization was birthed from the flows of fresh water so to was the thirst for war. For where civilization is said to have begun so to have city-states, nomadic armies and empires been defeated and condemned by failure to learn from history, repeating the mistakes of those that have come before. It is here where the warmongering delusions of feeble leadership and unwise guidance of corrupt advisors find their unsuspecting yet inevitable grave. In this part of the world, history has not been kind to those greater in wealth yet arrogant in mind and ignorant in intelligence, those thinking themselves superior in blood and culture, more advanced in technology, yet deficient in wisdom. From the writing of humanity past can the lessons for the present be understood, yet when not consulted, the books of wisdom prepare to add still more mistakes to its chapters of human folly, for those who fail to heed the past are inevitably condemned to repeat it.

Peoples that invented civilization have had to fight for their survival for the last 10,000 years, mutating, evolving, fusing, regressing and progressing in time, overcoming divisions, droughts, tyrants, ever-changing tribal and religious affiliations, European colonialism and modern economic genocide. They remain a society to this day, hardened by generations of tumultuous existence, made strong and resilient by the tunes of destiny, unlike thousands of other cultures from around the globe which history and the wickedness of the primate called man have made extinct. Conquered, re-conquered, colonized, mass murdered, oppressed, exploited, invaded, divided, occupied and repressed, all under the auspices of war, death, destruction and the worst in human wickedness, whether through ancient bow and arrows, spears and primitive battle or through missiles, machine guns or tanks, the Iraqi people are survivors of time and environment, overcoming once and again the mandates of human nature and the fate of living in lands at the crossroads of humankind.

Ten-thousand years of history and still Iraqi civilization remains, from the rubble of Ur to the flattened city of Fallujah, from Babylon to Baghdad, brought down only to rise again, occupied only to brutally resist and expel a long list of invaders. Into this has the American Establishment sent its lower castes to fight a war without just cause, without moral high ground and without purpose, transforming innocence into wickedness and souls at peace into minds at war. Based on lies, deceptions, manipulations and the all-powerful profit motive, where addiction to the Almighty Dollar and his sister greed control and blind, America’s rural and urban children turned warriors are being sacrificed and slaughtered, gunned down and blown to pieces, all for a Corporatist Crusade intent on usurping and extracting Iraqi oil, conquering strategic lands and pilfering America’s treasure.

Never Truth, Never Democracy

This week, America will be bombarded by a massive propaganda campaign by both government and the corporate media trying to validate the debacle unfolding in Iraq. The sham that is Iraqi elections will be unfolded for the public to see just how noble George W. Bush’s war truly is. The lackeys in the media will fly to Iraq to extol the virtues of American imposed democracy, trying to impregnate into our minds distorted history and altered realities, trying to change a national mood that every day turns more against the war. The corporate media is being sent to do damage control, finally allowed to open its camera lenses to an Iraq that has for two years been hidden from us. Never mind that these lenses will be distorted and censored, controlled and manipulated, made into a kaleidoscope of propaganda created so the war and occupation may continue distorting American eyes and filling the coffers of the Establishment.

Democracy, they will say, is, thanks to us, coming to Iraqis. The war, and the countless deaths of American soldiers, will thus be justified because another tyranny has been defeated, replaced with American style democracy and liberty. Freedom has been exported to Iraq, just like Afghanistan. The war on terror works, evil is being defeated, it must be continued, and it must be financed. The sacrifices of the working and middle class, in the life, mind and bodies of loved ones and the pocketbooks and taxes stolen from us will be validated, even as the rich sacrifice neither and corporate profits only continue to skyrocket. Nowhere will the eroded fictions of WMDs or the lies of Iraq’s connection to 9/11 and al-Qaeda be found. One hundred billion more dollars is needed for the war effort, they will say, to secure the happiness and freedom of peace-loving Iraqis, to fight off those dreaded terrorist evildoers.

History is being revised right in front of our eyes, becoming the reality government and the corporate media wish it to be. For the majority of the American public that has the attention span of a gnat and the memory of a fish the great fantasy-laden altruism of bringing freedom and democracy to Iraqis will be swallowed whole. Only America can bring an end to evil, they will be told, and only we have been blessed by the Almighty itself to end tyranny worldwide. To the easily manipulated, this bull fecal matter is manna from heaven, a justification to continue noble intentions and the fight against evil. Good must be victorious, even at the cost of 100,000 dead innocents, many women and children. After the election the naïve and gullible among us will justify their false beliefs with facts laced in propaganda, telling us that freedom is on the march and democracy has worked thanks to our occupation. They will fill the airwaves with patriotic-filled diatribe easily swallowed by those refusing to believe in the wickedness their leaders propagate, those living in denial, those not privy to reality and those refusing to wake from fantasyland.

In reality, however, the sham of democracy in Iraq is being implemented at the barrel of a gun, under an omnipotent and omnipresent fear and insecurity. No true election could possibly take place under these circumstances. Iraq is a nation in chaos, riddled with death and destruction. Its citizenry live in fear and insecurity, unable to live free of death or violence or suffering. How can democracy be made to function when the entire nation is under foreign occupation? How can elections be successful when the locations of polling places remain secret and hidden from the electorate for fear of attacks and when most of those running remain unknown to the population, their names and faces blacked out for fear of assassination? How can elections be implemented when UN observers refuse to go into Iraq thanks to the incessant insecurity and when election boards have resigned in mass numbers thanks to threats? How can elections be called democracy when the American puppet Allawi and his party are given unlimited funds for advertisements, expanded television time and ceaseless propaganda while other candidates wallow in anonymity?

How can an election be honest when water, electricity, food rations and other social services are being used – denied, turned off and toyed with by the occupiers – to manipulate the population into voting for the American sponsored candidates and party? How can democracy function when fear is all-encompassing, when security is non-existent and when those brave enough to vote do so under the watchful eye of an invading force? How can elections be validated when forty percent of Iraqis, living in four provinces, will not be able to vote because the American military cannot provide security? How can we call Iraq democratic when Sunnis are boycotting the elections and Shiites are voting according to the dictates of their religious leaders?

How can the American public believe freedom and democracy will soon embrace Iraq, and that America will soon leave the beleaguered nation, when countless military bases have been and continue to be constructed throughout Iraq, protecting borders, pipelines, oil facilities and those who are clandestinely pilfering both oil and water from Iraq? Do we really expect the American military to leave Iraq when hundreds of billions of dollars continue to be marked for the occupation, when critical military infrastructure continues to be built throughout the country and when the American embassy is the largest in the world, not to mention the largest CIA station in the world? With war drums beating of possible preemptive attacks on Iran and Syria, with dwindling supplies of oil becoming a reality, with control of world economies guaranteed to those possessing oil, with unlimited profit and wealth waiting to be extracted from beneath the soils of Iraq and with an entire nation waiting to be pilfered through neo-liberal policies, corporate rape and American imposed capitalism, can even the most brainwashed among us believe the American military will leave in the next ten years?

No, America will not leave voluntarily. It will remain as long as it can, sacrificing its soldiers for the profits to be made, the wealth to be pillaged, the power to be garnered. It will leave when the resistance defeats its military, when those residing inside the belly of the beast rumble mightily for an end to war and occupation. Willingly the elite do not care to leave. After all, it is not their sons and daughters dying nor their pocketbooks thinning out. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain, for as the war takes its toll, as more money is diverted away from healthcare and education and infrastructure and the necessities at home, instead given to the military-industrial complex and the oil oligopoly, the privatization, and hence the profitization of government will begin. This is called corporatism, more commonly named fascism. When this happens, it is the Establishment that triumphs, raping the people for the benefit of the elite, gutting social services, our civil liberties, our rights and our way of life, introducing the psychopathic tendencies of the corporation into government. It has already begun, and this war has made it all possible.

The Awakening

The Iraq war is this generation’s anti-war and peace movements’ Vietnam. To this reality we must awaken, for in tragedy can an enormous opportunity be seen. The awakening is already taking shape, yet for it to triumph it must continue growing, waking from the doldrums of decades of complacency, dusting off the cobwebs of resistance and evolving to new times and means. It is up to us, millions strong, some more vocal than others, some more courageous than most, each with different talents and abilities, each with one common purpose. We must become the patriots of old, those espoused by the Declaration of Independence, helping to end a war with no cause or purpose, helping to bring the troops home, away from death and maiming, back to normalcy and security. The anti-war, peace movement must begin where it left off, fierce and unrelenting, eager to triumph over corruption and malfeasance, knowing that dissent and protest is as American as apple pie, secure that the America of Bush and the elite is not the America of the majority.

Our government has been taken from us, given instead to the corporate world, transforming a land of beauty into a land of garbage, full of refuse, poison, toxins and pollution. The foods we digest kill tens of thousands each year, the air we breathe kills thousands more, the regulations of governance no longer serve the people, only the corporations that today control politicians and hence the most powerful government in the world. Our loved ones die for money and profit and the bottom line; we are being used, abused and exploited. Our jobs are taken abroad, our wages are suppressed, our minds are being brainwashed and our children are being dumbed down. The America our ancestors immigrated to and believed in, the America of dreams and happiness and vast potential, the place where no talent was left behind and opportunity never ceased is being gutted, transformed into the nightmares of times long gone by.

We are hated the world over, now considered a pariah state. The President is the most hated man in the world, seen as the number one terrorist. American citizens are, more and more, seen with disdain and scorn, unwelcome and unwanted. To the world we are a nation of warmongers, racists, colonizers and selfish greed addicts ruining the planet for our own voracious materialism. We allow a war to continue, even when it is based on nothing more than propaganda and lies. We fail to question authority or seek accountability, refusing to stand against the inherently evil actions and policies of our government. We allow ourselves to be manipulated and exploited as unconcerned we remain to what our government does in our name. To the world, we are all sadists, torturers, mass murderers and hypocrites, believing the bull manure our government spits out of bringing freedom, democracy and liberty to the world even as we are the greatest threat to each principle through our blatant support of coups and state terrorists, financing of tyrants and dehumanizing occupations and meddling into nations’ internal matters and elections.

Thousands of our loved ones are dying and suffering horrific mental and physical damage for a war based on lies and deceits, where the only justification is profit and control. Just like Vietnam, the elite have condemned over 100,000 innocent Iraqis and thousands of American soldiers to premature death. Their weapons of human wickedness have and continue to destroy the environment, poisoning air, land and water, razing cities, importing carnage and savagery. Their depleted uranium has already killed tens of thousands since 1991, including 11,000 American veterans of the first Gulf War. Millions are now living in radiation filled toxic lands, exposed to cancers, disease and fetal deformities. Tens of thousands of American soldiers will undoubtedly bring back pulverized uranium back home, dying in clandestine misery, covered up by the government, giving birth to cancers and disease and child deformities, radiation living inside their bodies until they cease to exist, dying prematurely and without reason.

Like Vietnam, moral and honorable young men, and now women, have been transformed into conduits for murder and hatred and human evil, forever to be condemned by the demons of a war of choice, not necessity, based on lies, not truth, protecting profit, not the population. History is once again repeating itself, as it always does in times of feeble and unwise leadership, helping send America down the black hole of barbarity, mass psychosis and regressive division, condemning those residing inside the belly of the beast.

History is indeed repeating itself, with one notable exception, however: the anti-war, peace movement. It is true that small manifestations can be seen around the nation. A hundred here, a thousand there, the brave among us have indeed taken to the street in sporadic manifestations of passive aggressiveness. Yet something is amiss in this great nation that once thundered through the plains and the mountains and the valleys, bringing to their knees presidents and elites, echoing in unison the dissatisfaction of governance and the wrongness of a war based on lies. The voice of the people shook foundations and crumbled power, helping to end a terrible and heinous war that had killed mercilessly and seemingly without purpose. The power of the people stood like a giant monolith, moving to the tunes of peace and love, helping restore sanity to a senseless nation. The beauty of protest and dissent and debate awoke a nation back to reality.

Since the end of Vietnam, however, the voice of the people has been turned silent, clandestinely controlled by the system through years of conditioning. For decades we have witnessed on the margins at the evil committed in our name, unable to stand together, unable to demand change. A new challenge is upon us, however. A new war, a new quagmire, a new warmongering few infected with the virus of greed and apathy for their fellow human beings have been birthed. This group threatens our way of life, they threaten to turn this nation into a true corporatist state bereft of civil rights, infiltrated by mass psychosis and a police state. They threaten to make America a warmongering empire whose purpose is perpetual war. They threaten to enslave us to the dictates of the corporate world, dumbing us down further, using us as human energy producing and consuming. Without feeling they send our flesh and blood to war, sent to kill innocent human beings. Without care they attack defenseless nations through the instruments of war and American capitalism. They are destroying the fraternity of nations and the livability of the planet. They respect nothing but the Almighty Dollar and his sister greed, and today have embroiled us in a debacle spawning a hornet’s nest of hatred and vengeance.

It is time we say enough is enough, that the American people refuse to sit idly while a few miscreants destroy our nation and our world. It is time to show the world what we once were, and are capable of once again becoming. It is time we make our government accountable. It is time to end the madness of this illegal and immoral war. It is time to bring the troops home and leave Iraq to Iraqis. It is time to resurrect the anti-war, peace movement. It is time to stand together, marching shoulder to shoulder, rising in one united voice, bringing leaders to account and the system that shackles us to justice. Only we can help bring our loved ones back, for the government will surely let them die before admitting defeat. Only we can save countless more innocent Iraqis, for the government has made it policy to collectively punish and unilaterally destroy. Only we can stop the madness that is war. Only we can put the stop to the human wickedness done in our name.

Because there is no cause we need to rise up. Because we are continuously lied to we need to speak out. Because our loved ones are dying in vain we need to take to the streets. Because our instruments of death are mass murdering we need to raise our fists. Because we are moral, honorable human beings we must put a stop to an unjust and immoral war. Because there is no cause the anti-war, peace movement must rise once more, from coast to coast, inundating cities and streets. College campuses and students must awaken from their doldrums, becoming active in the Vietnam of their generation, participating to save the lives of countless souls. Twenty and thirty-somethings must escape the complacency and comfort of their existence, becoming strong voices of protest and dissent. Veterans of the 60’s need to impart wisdom and experience; academics need to inform. From high school kids to veterans of the 1960’s movements, the anti-war movement must be all-encompassing and omnipotent. It is our duty as patriots and freedom loving people to stop this war and the spread of human malice. It is our right to protest and dissent and debate, doing all we can, peacefully helping to put a stop to the death and the carnage and the human destruction.

It worked once before, helping to end the war in Vietnam. It will surely work again, yet it must begin to grow far and wide. The true extent of American dead and wounded is not being told to us, as with everything else in this war, and everyday more and more continue to fall. In us lies the salvation of tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of lives. In us lies the ability to stop the war in Iraq. This is our Vietnam, a new generation taking the torch from those previous, assigned to secure the wellbeing of the state and the welfare of the people. Bring the troops home, leave Iraq alone, bring warmongers to justice and let the truth prevail. Let the anti-war, peace movement restore balance to this great land. Let the world see that half of America still stands for truth, justice, honor, morality and love of humanity. This is our time to shine, for the sun of goodness refuses to surface. If not us, who? If not now, when?

Because there is no cause we fight. Because there is no cause we will rise. Because there is no cause we are in the right, and slowly, but patiently, in the warm embrace of hundreds of thousands, the goodness of the many will triumph over the malice of the few, and hopefully, in time, humanity will forgive us for the evil we allowed warmongers to do in our name. This is our Vietnam, this is our chance to fight the system, this is our opportunity to do good and help lead humanity away from the road of self-destruction.

What is being done in our name is not America. The president and his cabal of corruption do not speak for us. Aggressive war is anti-American. Mass murder and collective punishment is anti-American. Invasion and occupation are anti-American. George W. Bush, the neocons and the elite are anti-American. A corporatist government, a police state and corporate control over our lives is not America. Death, suffering, xenophobia, homophobia, war, maiming, apathy are not American values.

In a world usurped by corruption, in a land rotting in immorality, in a populace led by a plague of malfeasant parasites stand principles of humanity, justice, honor and togetherness. Those are American values; those are America. As such, it is our duty, our right and perhaps even our salvation to uphold these principles and return this most troubled nation back to what we once thought it to be. Our future and that of our children depend on it.

Coronation of Corruption

Celebration of Exploitation

At the apex of the highest mountain stand the facilitators of human corruption, in proud self-adulation, glorification and ego-driven debasement readying themselves with a forty million dollar celebration of pomp and circumstance, enjoying the comforts of luxury and unfettered power spun by the web of exploitation, for victorious do they see each other, this power-addicted and profit-hungry cabal of corporatist and elitist vermin, extolling both the virtues of immorality and policies of unscrupulous undertakings that have laid waste billions of lives in the present while condemning billions that have yet to exist. For like vultures attacking a dead carcass they have descended upon Washington to further empower humankind’s enduring romance with its self-corruption and the continuing decline into our moral abyss.

Basking in the glow of power, partying to the tunes of extravagance, rubbing shoulders with their fellow immoral brethren, this minority of humanity exclusively invited to descend upon the realm of political prostitution in order to mingle, cajole, bid, wage, bribe and buy the services of the legions of whores in governance could care less about the shattered world they have both created and profited from. Dressed in the pageantry of tuxedos and designer gowns, feasting and entertained with the best money can buy, surrounded by lavish environments and barren morality, expensive taste and indigent honor, the small entity known as the Establishment continues riding the chariot of flourishing circumstances while trampling the lives of billions of humans not granted the luck of being born into privilege and fortuitous circumstances, silver-spoon fed, from the cradle to the grave destined to grip the whips of power, wealth and perpetual exploitation.

At the expense of the corporations and the royal executives they sell their souls to, these members of aristocracy will continue experiencing life without knowledge of what their actions help unleash upon the globe or without a care in the world of the effects on billions of human energies, including 290 million Americans. They are in Washington to crown the corruption of humanity, after all, in lavish celebration to the debauchery their kind have wrought to all corners of the globe, their institutions, tentacles, tools, policies, businesses, actions, laws, military might and power hijacking the world entire, corrupting the minds and bodies of American soldiers subjected to the horrors of war; corrupting the very foundations of society of one of the oldest civilizations to ever exist; corrupting and making bereft of honor, integrity and truth the media, once a shining beacon and protector of democracy, now but a blatant propaganda mechanism; corrupting, polluting and making toxic the environment we inhabit and the bodies we own through the products they manufacture and sell; corrupting and destroying billions of lives worldwide and at home for billions in profits using the centuries old exploitative tools of feudalism and slavery; and corrupting the future lives of our children through the abandonment of long-term foresight, short-term concern and historical hindsight.

Through the crowning of an emperor with no clothes, the crowning of Establishment failure and mediocrity, and the crowning of the corporatist controlled marionette smearing an entire world with the feces-stained incompetence of the elite, the Establishment can once again be seen for what it has systematically done for thousands of years, since the dawn of civilization enriching and empowering itself through the exploitation and suppression of the rest of us, genetically passing down through the generations the torch of diluted blood saturated with the oils of entrenched power.

Corruption Through Control

At the expense of the masses and the common plebian, namely you, me and billions more, the elite of society, those few at the top, whether in ancient Egypt or Sumeria, imperial Greece or Rome, whether in feudal Europe or medieval Arabia, in Renaissance times or Enlightenment eras, whether in dictatorships, tyrannies, fascist regimes, communist systems, democracy charades or fictional freedoms, have maintained power through the overthrow of the will of the people, through the evisceration of the communal interests of the many as well as through the control of all aspects of governance and society.

For what is society composed of but the mechanisms of control the Establishment places at our feet, shackling our ability to rebel and revolt under the oppression and exploitation befalling our ancestors, ourselves and our descendents to come? Since humankind rose to perceived greatness castes and social classes have been in place, forever condemning untold human beings to a hierarchical system of perpetual exploitation that robs talent, ability and opportunity. From ancient times the priest classes deemed themselves conduits of the gods, proclaiming themselves direct manifestations of unseen deities, exploiting the ignorance and primitiveness of the masses who were made to cater to high priests and their families, thereby enriching, empowering and forever setting apart this group of corrupters from those now ruled and exploited. In time rose kings and royalty classes, again conniving the people into subservience by proclaiming direct relation with gods and metaphysical manifestations of fantasy, using the blood, sweat and tears of the masses for the abundant and ever-growing power and wealth destined for the ruling nobility.

Whether Caesars or emperors or pharaohs or popes or kings or nobility or generals or politicians or corporations or capitalists the exploitation by the ruling class of the masses has never stopped. It has breathed life since our beginning, living inside our society, giving rise to the vast number of inequalities, injustices and wasted lives now ruining our civilization. The control the Establishment uses is all encompassing, from the religions that inculcate in us primitive ideology no longer useful to the world of modern man, conditioning us to believe in invisible fantasy and obey the false prophets who preach them, controlling and oppressing the mind and maintaining ignorance; to the education that brainwashes, dumbs down and fosters allegiance to the ruling elite; to the social classes that segregate, alienate and exasperate; to laws that serve to benefit those in power and wealth; to the work we must perform in order to survive which robs us of energy to care or the will to fight and resist; to the television that manipulates and re-wires human brains to the dictates of government and the corporate world, creating the escapism of entertainment to divert attention away from the exploitation that is our lives; to the charade of democracy and elections that serves only to distract and divide; to the media designed to confuse, manipulate and disseminate propaganda; to the credit card, mortgage and loan whose sole purpose is to control through debt and interest payments; to social security numbers that make of you but a mere number to the government, your entire history easily traceable and apparent; to the launching of wars to create enemies, thus taking our eyes away from the real enemy; to jingoism designed to foster rabid nationalism and blind patriotism; to government itself which is a mechanism of, by and for the ruling elite; to the exploitation of fear planned so that we acquiesce to the erosion of freedoms and rights at home and the immoral wars of aggression and war crimes abroad.

Everywhere one looks control can be seen. Everywhere one stares corruption of humanity by the Establishment can be found. The pyramid of exploitation, where the elite stand alone at the top while the masses suffocate together at the bottom must be maintained, lest the elite lose power and control. Social classes are purposefully kept the way they are because from the poor and working classes the elite find their serfs, slaves and automatons. From the middle class they find their buffers and protection from the lower classes, as those in the middle, whether lower middle to upper middle, become easily controlled through the illusion of dreams and the complacency of materialism.

Capitalists need minimum wage earners from which to exploit, paying cheaply to profit mightily. They need undereducated masses to fill dead-end jobs and assembly-line chores, transforming a plethora of blue-eyed babies into blue-collar workers and brown-eyed humans into burger flipper slaves. The corporate world of today’s crony capitalism thrives on social engineering, depending on the masses for labor, production and mass consumption. The masses cannot be allowed to find liberation through education, nor free-thinking minds through enlightenment, nor be allowed to escape the caste predetermined for them, for they are needed to push the buttons and the levers of the capitalist division of labor and operate the tools and the machines of the corporation. Thus, real education, as emancipating to the mind as it is, will never reach the mass of society, for in knowledge there is power and in ignorance there is control. This is the story of organized religion throughout history, and now it is the sad chapter of modern man’s dive into the abyss called capitalism.

Feudalism revisited, or feudalism evolved?

Threats to the Establishment are never allowed to prosper lest the majority stand up and expropriate power away from those few at the top. Yet, in the end, we remain slaves and serfs, terms now marketed under different names whose exploitations are controlled under different functions. Most of us live in worlds of corporate feudalism, working for corporations, toiling endless hours and sacrificing most valuable time for the profit of those who employ us. We are given ‘wages’ that must, inevitably, be returned to the same corporate world that ‘pays’ us as we are forced to purchase the food, shelter and clothing we produce, not to mention the vast assortment of products of escapism designed to placate and control us.

The seven day week is designed to exploit as much labor from our energy as possible, granting us two days of rest and escapism before the same routine yields its debilitating momentum month after month and year after year, until finally, after years of servitude and sacrifice to those who exploit us, we awaken in old age, our energy gone and our time spent, becoming raisins in the sun asking ourselves where a life worth living has disappeared to. The seven day week is a mechanism of control, a tool of elitist exploitation of the masses, one we never seek to question, or alter. Instead, we are conditioned to its acceptance seemingly from birth, taught to blindly follow five days of labor in exchange for two of rest, never asking ourselves why in times of over-abundance and over consumption so much of our lives is devoted sacrificing to our employers when life is too short to not enjoy and experience.

The genius is in the illusion that we own and have control over our lives, in the cascade of charades, mirages and fictions we adamantly believe in and seldom question. Yet we live in homes and property that are overpriced, forced to pay mortgages and interest to the corporate world that until the end retains control over them. We must buy the products the corporate world decides to sell us, needing their stores and goods for our nutrition, wants and needs. Through the television the corporate world tells us what to think, how to think, how to behave, interact and communicate. It conditions us to consume its products and services, creating fantasy in order to manipulate the still primitive human brain. It creates trends, dictates changes, force-feeds styles, manufactures fragile psychologies and concocts peer-pressures so that we never stop consuming in our quest to attain the fantasy we are bombarded with yet can never attain. In the end, our feudal lords give us labor, food, shelter, protection and security, all in exchange for our freedom, our valuable time left living and our ever-dwindling reserves of energy. Feudalism revisited, or feudalism evolved?

Our feudal lords, through years of methodical conditioning, establish in us and throughout society a dependency on them for survival. We cannot escape their grip, as we are forever indebted to them and addicted to what our labor helps produce. Molded into obedience and subservience, acquiescence and conformity, from cradle to grave becoming robotic producers and mass consumers, our energies methodically engineered like slaves of the past, our minds transformed to those of the automatons of the future, we cling to our feudal masters like babies to their mother’s breasts as society has been created with all the mechanisms needed for the Establishment to continue exploiting the mass of humanity.

Billions of us live in a Matrix-type fantasy; to the elite we are nothing more than an Energizer battery harvested to produce and consume, voraciously exploited for our energy and easily controlled animal passions, behaviors and instincts. The society we believe in and help protect is nothing more than one vast control mechanism, designed for exploitation, manipulation and the further corruption of humankind. It is created to maintain the status quo, where few bask in wealth and power while the many linger in virtual serfdom.

In this world the fantasy we have since birth been made to believe in hides an ominous reality we are afraid to confront. It is a world where those born in privilege prosper while the many at the bottom linger in perpetual limbo, forced to live life in a man-made purgatory full of exploitation, subjugation and oppression that is as old as civilization itself. In every era, in every corner of the globe this hierarchical scheme has ruined more human life than any war or disease, robbing individuals of talent, ability, opportunity and a chance to push themselves out of the caste the system systematically places them in since birth, unable to escape their inherited bondage, unable to enjoy the pleasures of the life of members of the Establishment and unable to experience life beyond the day to day subsistence that marks their existence on Earth.

Humanity is the story of man exploiting man, always to the benefit of established power, never in communal brotherhood, forever creating wickedness upon each other so that one segment of humankind prospers while another suffers. In this corruption can we see the root of all human wrong, ruining lives and rotting experiences, those in power abusing their perched positions of control to enrich and aggrandize themselves and their bloodlines while emaciating the rest of their fellow man. As long as the many continue falling for the magic tricks of the few, as long as we blindly follow and never question, as long as we remain complacent, placid and sedentary, the fraternity that is humankind will never experience greatness.

Every war, every genocide, every form of ethnic cleansing, every forest decimated and ocean devastated, every family living in indigence and child dying of malnutrition, every plague extinguishing life and pollution causing disease, every act of injustice and every case of inequality has as its root cause the debilitating ailment called corruption. From the beginning it has ruled humanity. Indeed, it is humanity, ingrained in our animal selves, born of greed, selfishness and the worst in the human condition, unable to be purged from our psyche. It is humans breathing the addictive qualities of power and wealth that become corrupted, like a virus contaminating all that they touch, see and hear. From corruption of power rises corruption of humanity. This reality is being celebrated and crowned this week in Washington.

Corruption of Social Engineering

It is from the ghettos and rural areas, comprised of mostly poor and working families, that the Establishment finds the cannon fodder needed to wage war. It is these sons and daughters of misfortune, trapped in urban reservations or rural wastelands, hindered by wretched educational institutions and severe shortages of work and opportunity that are forced by social engineering to become the killing machines pushing the triggers, buttons and levers of the instruments of death so profitable to the military industrial complex. It is these young men and women whose anemic opportunity in life, thanks to decrepit environments and government abandonment, makes them the marching army of the corporate world, sacrificing the rest of their lives, forever living haunted by demons and/or the maimed horrors of man fighting man, for nothing more than profits, revenues, power and the ego of the Establishment. Through training innocent and moral boys and girls are transformed into cold-blooded killers and destroyers of life, obeying the dictates of greed addicts and warmongers.

Yet the soldiers now in Iraq and Afghanistan -- whom Bush ironically praises while helping to seal their fates – fighting men and women of similar circumstances and situation, also exploited and from birth condemned, are but the latest in a long line of humans fighting the wars of the elite. From the beginning of time, in societies ruled by divisions, classes and castes, where there are segregations of poor and rich, it has always been the poor, those without power and control, who are the ones sacrificing life, mind and limb, not to mention wages, taxes, blood, sweat and tears, for the warmongering aspirations of the Establishment. It is usually the working and middle classes that must bear the sacrifice of the war effort, while the rich are content to live in their infallible bubble of supremacy, their lives neither altered nor molested by the realities and horrors befalling those at war and those faced with the necessity of burying their loved ones.

As has always been the case, the elite can circumvent having to serve in war, for many years able to bypass duties reserved for all others thanks to influence, power, connections and wealth, while the poor and middle class must be sacrificed, either through social engineering or conscription, because they lack the parameters that wealth and power spring forth. Through time and regardless of society or race or region, when divisions in socioeconomic status penetrate the core of human interaction, it is the children of wealth who escape the wickedness created by their fathers, whose actions condemn those born in the lower echelons of a caste system. Whether slave or serf or soldier, regardless of time or place, the corruption of humanity assures the lower classes will continue fighting for the so-called honor, the mistakes, the greed, the incompetence, the malice, the warmongering aspirations and the sought-after land, labor and resources of another. This has never ceased to be the case, and will most likely continue deep into the remaining years of humanity.

The story of war is the story of one side’s poor fighting another side’s poor, for the benefit of the Establishment and the detriment of those mothers and fathers who must do what no parent should have to do, bury their son or daughter. The exploitation of the masses functions thanks to the corruption of society, imposed by the implementation of control mechanisms designed to rob the people of power, knowledge, and of the will to fight a system which only acts to betray illusions and charades. Telling the troops they fight for freedom and democracy and against tyranny while providing nothing but pillaged profits to the corporate world and human hell to Iraqis is one such illusion told by the elite to their army of killing machines.

While 150,000 under funded, unarmored and undersupplied American troops do battle with an entire nation of 25 million Iraqis, for no other reason than to further expand the pockets of the Establishment and the power of the corporatist elite, the distinguished ladies and gentlemen attending the coronation of corruption, adorned with the fruits of our labor, our blood, sweat and tears, will wine and dine until the early hours of the morning, laughing, joking, conversing, living in their sheltered bubble of endowed wealth and inherited position, in one night wasting forty million dollars, enough money to save the lives of countless soldiers in need of armor and innocent Iraqi civilians in need of humanity. Is there any doubt ghetto soldiers born in concrete jungles and rural grunts living in isolated abandon are simply considered expendable cannon fodder doing the slave work of the elite when those that send them to war, based on lies, deceits and under false pretenses, celebrate fraudulent election triumphs and the pleasures endowed to privilege, at a cost of $40,000,000, while dozens of troops are killed and hundreds maimed for life on a weekly basis in Iraq?

While the elite celebrate the coronation of the corruption they have unleashed upon the world the corruption of soldier and Iraqi minds continues to claim the futures of tens of thousands of once vibrant energies. For many of those who must bear witness to the wickedness ingrained in human war, the psychological trauma and maimed minds they will forever have to live with will be a sad reminder of Establishment exploitation of their futures. Most of those affected will never be the same, devastated in mind and spirit thanks to what they did, saw and experienced acting on behalf of those profiteers and greed mongers presently celebrating the coronation of corruption. Their futures will be lived in nightmares and stresses, in psychological horror and altered existence. Many will never be able to exorcise the inner demons tearing them apart, creating years of turmoil and shattered lives. The ghosts of those they killed and maimed, those they dehumanized and destroyed will haunt them until their dying days. Images of blood spattered, torsos maimed and appendages blown off will linger, as well as the visions of death and the smells of rotting corpses. The catastrophe they have unleashed, on orders from those at the top, will remain in their minds long after they return home. Normalcy will never again be achievable. Divorces will ensue, health costs will accumulate, grief and anger will fuse together, life will lose meaning, jobs will be lost, many will find themselves homeless, begging for food and shelter, abandoned by the same government and elites that sent them to sacrifice body and mind for the fortunes of a small minority.

In Iraq the age-old battles pitting one nation’s poor against another nation’s poor for the benefit of the few elite at the top is being played out, with thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis dying for an immoral and unjust war of choice, based on lies and deceptions, designed for corporate profit and pillage, sacrificing those of the lower American castes as easily expendable cannon fodder and as armed slaves furthering the profits, lands, and power of those celebrating the coronation of corruption. Yet those celebrating the crowning of corporatism care not an ounce for the death and destruction they have wrought. Possessing no empathy or understanding, no remorse or guilt, onwards they continue in their exploitative ways, robbing the nation blind, both of its treasure and loved ones, and laying siege to an entire Iraqi society whose only crime was living in lands saturated with the devil’s excrement and deemed vital to the imperial aspirations of warmongers, greed addicts and power hungry deviants.

Into the Nest of Corruption

Remember, celebrating the coronation of corruption are members of the military-industrial complex, the oil oligarchy, the ruling elite, the corporate Leviathan and the political class. Chief Executive Officers and executives of Fortune 500 companies, Establishment patriarchs and their loving juniors believing themselves nobility by blood if not by high crimes and misdemeanors, greedy bankers and immoral corporatists always seeking more, energy magnates controlling the strings of the Puppet in Chief, media moguls and their army of journalist minions, those Likud-loving, Israel-first neocons, prostitute politicians and their lackey yes men and women, legions of defense contractors and corporate lobbyists trained in the fine art of buying politicians and writing laws, former military brass exchanging the uniform for an Armani, and the unmistakable lovers of revolving doors who always place the interests of their employers before those of the nation can be found cruising Washington in stretched limos and walking on red carpets.

Without corruption of humanity, this distinguished group has no serfs, no slaves and no control. It has no power, no profit, and no wealth. It has no war, no conquest and no soldiers or army to kill, destroy and devastate. It has no feudal domination of land and man, no control over daily lives. Without the degradation of millions in the United States and billions worldwide, the elite cannot maintain an imbalance that has existed for thousands of years, where the few at the top live lavishly through the fruits of our sweat and the exigencies of our toil while the rest subsist on the measly crumbs that like emaciated dogs we oftentimes find ourselves fighting over.

With the bubble of luxury do they surround themselves in, unable to see the reality of the world they possess. Never will they know what it is like to live in a shantytown, ghetto, reservation or a cardboard box. They can never understand what their policies and laws help to unleash onto society, making impossible the lives of millions and forever condemning billions to lives living in utter decay, unable to escape the living purgatory the Establishment creates. To them, billions of humans subsisting on two dollars a day, with 700 million children surviving on one dollar per day are made to disappear along with their humanity and concern for their fellow man. Millions dying each year of malaria or tuberculosis or typhoid or dysentery or other easily treatable diseases are but a statistic, a number without a face, an inconsequential asterisk added to mortality figures caused by structural adjustment programs or overburdened third world debt or by the mismanagement of American sponsored leaders.

To the Establishment now celebrating the coronation of corruption, the plight of black Africa, dying and destabilizing thanks to tens of millions of deaths due to AIDS, its societies in disarray and in extreme poverty, and the devastation in Asia wrought by the cataclysmic tsunami is of no more importance than the annoying buzzing of a fly. When the profit motive is placed way ahead of the people motive, long-suffering continents can seem as far away as to make them invisible. Donating a few hundred million in Africa to fight AIDS, knowing this will accomplish little, and a few hundred million in Asia to quiet worldwide criticism of selfishness, knowing so much more is needed to make a difference is of little consequence to those whose only motive is the profit one.

However, when it comes to the annual military budget, now $450,000,000,000 strong, and growing, and the additional $200,000,000,000 now wasted for the needless war in Iraq, those celebrating the coronation of corruption waste no time using all tools at their disposal at promoting the cause of war and the instruments of death whose profits line the bank accounts of the ruling members of the military-industrial complex. Not to be outdone, the American oil/energy oligarchy, blinded by the huge pillage expected in the selling off of Iraqi oil fields, cares nothing for over 100,000 dead Iraqi civilians whose lives are now extinct, their lands confiscated and corporatized to the friends, families and connections of the administration.

Through lies, manipulations and deceits, through the continued dumbing down of America and through the conditioning power of the television the Establishment bombards the public with information that serves only the best interests of the elite, manipulating and distorting news and facts, disseminating propaganda that is believed and absorbed. Through the power to shape society and the people it dominates and controls, the elite now celebrating the coronation of corruption dictate what was, what is and what will become, distorting history and creating the present in order to manipulate the future. This is the recipe for success used by the Establishment for centuries, using their barriers, their buffers, their tools of propaganda, their mechanisms of control spread throughout society, their conditioning of minds and domination of lives to calibrate in the masses a symphony of support and acquiescence for their vested and newfound interests. This is the way it has always been done, and the way it will continue. It is ingrained in the human condition, never stopped, never questioned and never fought.

The coronation of corruption shows us how a few at the top can control the vast majority of the people. It shows us that the same patterns emerge throughout history, without fail, thus allowing us to peer into the future. Warlike leaders create warlike people, immoral, arrogant and selfish elites create the same vices in the citizens they control. Their ideologies become our realities; their fictions become our truths. All they have to do to push society in a certain direction is use the tools at their disposal, orchestrating social and mental engineering by conducting various apparatuses at once, thereby shaping views and beliefs from a multitude of platforms. For example, if the people begin questioning the system that exploits them, overcoming purposely placed barriers and divisions, becoming blind and deaf to propaganda, becoming riled and questioning, new Pearl Harbors can always be concocted, new wars of aggression conjured up and new enemies created to distract us away from the real war taking place against us by the real enemy of the people. We are easily toyed with, for society is a matrix geniusly run by the Establishment, full of fantasy and brainwashing and mental conditioning to the dictates of those in power.

At the zenith of the highest mountain do those celebrating the coronation of corruption stand, basking in self adulation, mesmerized by their omnipotence, perched above the clouds circling the vast heavens, yet blind do they remain to the plight of the common man, unable to see below through the cloudy haze of arrogance and ego-driven self-importance. In reality, they do not care for their subjects, for we are self-reproducing entities whose lives are easily replaceable by our own progeny. The assembly line called human procreation assures those celebrating the coronation of corruption of unlimited slaves, soldiers, producers and consumers ready, willing and able to bow down in servitude to the powers that be. The magic wand of the elite has worked for thousands of years, using time tested methods to control, exploit, dominate and subjugate the majority, as always protecting its interests while quashing those of the masses.

No ideology or belief can be allowed to be birthed that may threaten the system now in place. No idea or rebellion or revolt that may change the balance of power will be tolerated, even if it may give rise to the salvation of humanity and the planet. The communal interests of the masses be damned, it is the power of the elite that must be retained, oftentimes using the citizenry itself to achieve these purposes. While the majority succumbs to the growing threats of perpetual war, biological plague, dwindling resources, overpopulation and global warming, it is the elite that prosper and remain protected. In order to achieve long sought goals, we have become, to those holding the reigns of power, quite literally, easily expendable entities. Whether the interests sought cost 3,000 lives, or 100,000 dead or 5,000 soldiers killed or one million lives extinguished, to the elite, the bottom line of profit and power over people rules and, in cost benefit analysis, we have become the means to an end.

Today, into the nest of corruption can the rest of humanity see into, watching as $40,000,000 is wasted to celebrate the triumphant victory over the American people. The coronation of corruption is upon us, full of splendor and arrogance and apathy. When nothing has changed for centuries, even millennia, when the elite possess the confidence that they will continue to rule today and into the future while we continue to drool in kneeling subservience, who can blame them for partying in resplendent accomplishment? To them the system works like magic, and if the best we can do is a few hundred full moon risings directed at their Puppet in Chief, then perhaps we deserve what our ancestors and ourselves are subjected to and our future generations will undoubtedly experience.

To do nothing is to live in denial and accept the lie of our existence. To sit in silent complacency is to welcome the domination over our lives. The failure to act is an act in failure, and a warm embrace to an unmitigated corruption befalling humankind.

Worker Bees and Soldier Ants: America’s Army of Fascism

Marching Boots of Mass Psychosis

It is in times of fascism rising that armies of ignorance are once more resuscitated from the bowels of a society bordering on the edge of mass psychosis. The America at the dawn of the twenty-first century is no exception, for an army of fascism is being born inside its womb, its growing power in numbers and ideology granting freedom of action to immoral despots and juntas of warmongering greed addicts. Contrived through the mass manipulation of fear and hatred, xenophobia and ignorance, searing nationalism and blind theological faith, this army represents the greatest threat to the nation, and the world.

From all walks of life diluted brains and weak-minded individuals are answering the call of the beacon of fascism shining bright, from Atlantic to Pacific, from north to south, embracing its dastardly tentacles with the warm acceptance of comfort and submission. Millions of Americans are presently falling prey to a virulent haze gripping the United States, furthered and pursued by a small cabal of corporatist evildoers perched at the upper echelons of governance and power that seek to transform the nation into a black widow’s nest of fascism spiked with the venom of a militarized citizenry acquiescent to imperial hegemony.

Growing daily like a malignant tumor, still entranced by the devastating images of the new Pearl Harbor, which the corporatists in power did nothing to help stop and everything possible for it to succeed, this multitude cannot see in shades of gray nor in the prism of color. Instead, like living inside the television sets of the past, only black and white can they perceive, their antenna only receptive to the microwaves of good and bad, evil and good, friend or foe. Different shades of reality escape them just as much as the reality of what transpires around the world.

This army of fascism is the product of years of methodical ingraining of ignorance and indifference into society by those holding the reigns of power. It is the end result of the re-wired human brain preyed upon and feasted on by television and the corporations that control thought through it. Obedient to the monitor, blind to reality, the army now gathering life takes direct commands from the images, sounds and war cries emanated by television. Acting on instinct, and on the televised propaganda they are conditioned to obey and follow, the army now walking among us neither questions nor searches for answers, preferring to exult the fantasies of fiction over the embarrassments of truth, preferring to dwell in ignorance rather than being liberated by knowledge.

Like the drones they have been bred to be the army of fascism lines up one behind another, marching to the drums of warmongers and trumpets of false prophets exalting hatreds and fears and cries for death and destruction. This monolith lacking the precepts of analytical and logical thinking minds follows the lies and deceptions of governance and the propaganda of corporations, believing every word uttered or image manipulated, absorbing as truth blatant lies and incorporating into their own thought processes the vitriol-filled, hate-induced, xenophobic-spewing, gay-bashing, women-hating, Arab-scapegoating, jingoistic-packed diatribe that litters the airwaves and acts as a conduit for the further recruitment of grunts comprising the army of fascism.

Disguised as national dialogue, this propaganda, disseminated by the minions and lackeys of government and the corporate world, serves the purpose of unleashing inside the ignorant legions of sheep boiling magma of animalistic passion and emotion which, with further manipulation of psychology, erupts like a smoldering volcano, releasing throughout the nation toxic gases of hatred and fiery lava of violent thought.

Thus, the harvesting of ignorance, hate and fear – all molded by the same clay, none mutually exclusive of the others – by those in power produces an army of fascism whose blind thirst for Arab blood and rabid addiction for Muslim destruction fuse to engender in the Establishment the tools necessary to mutate the United States in the direction of fascism and despotic rule, while at the same time increasing their power and control over the same army which blindly follows without knowing and is easily herded to slaughter.

Conditioned War Culture, Dumbed-Down Education

Millions who today march proudly in the army of hate, fear and ignorance have, since birth, been conditioned to violence and indifference through the incessant bombardment by television of those images necessary to transform a once benign citizenry into a violent and militarized war culture, in the process succeeding in shaping apathetic creatures devoid of concern for their fellow man, now desensitized to death, destruction, suffering and ceaseless violence.

From cartoons laced with aggression and conflict to movies saturated with pyrotechnics and bullets to video games blurring the line between reality and fantasy to television shows romanticizing violence the human brain, from cradle to grave, and in a society as addicted to television watching as is America, loses all sense of shock and awe at the very real spectacle of human violence. Glamorized and white-washed, fantasy-riddled violence on television, movies and video games desensitizes the now conditioned human brain to the very real and horrific parameters of our species’ self-destructive ways, making violence accepted and indeed sought, for violent overtures to conflict resolution are all we have been trained to see, hear and believe in.

In the realm of fiction bombs explode yet the shrieks and the misery are never seen. Bullets whiz by yet their effects on human flesh are whitewashed. Missiles rain down from above yet severed limbs and decapitated heads do not exist. The destruction of cities, houses and lives is too inconvenient to cover in the plot. The suffering and the wretchedness of human violence upon its own kind never sees the light of day. Special effects form a cornucopia of digital mastery, glossing over death and maiming, blood and guts, becoming the fiction we see and the reality we fail to understand.

Audiences at home or in the theater fail to ever experience the reality of human violence, unable to feel the pain of injury, the concussions reverberating in air, rubble falling everywhere, explosions creating deafness, bullets penetrating flesh, the last moments of life, the entrails exposed or the limbs blown to bits. We never are confronted with the sounds of war, the smells of death, the taste of violence and the very real destruction wrought by America’s many instruments of human violence. Comfortably we sit in our couches or stadium seating, under cover of roof and air-conditioning, munching on popcorn and soda, all the while becoming ever more desensitized to death, destruction, violence and the horrors of war.

This makes a culture such as that found in America a purveyor of violent solutions to conflict, a populace indifferent to the violence, destruction and death created by its government and unleashed on the savages and inhuman peoples of lands not known or understood, alien to our reality but familiar to our fictions. With a citizenry completely conditioned to accept violence as a solution for conflict, with a people desensitized to the horrors of human violence inflicted on its fellow beings, with tens of millions brainwashed into seeing violence as rose-petalled fiction and not as a malicious reality, the government, military-industrial complex and the cabal of corruption in control of our lives are free to unearth the most wicked forms of human violence upon innocent human life, killing with abandon in a wanton slaughter applauded by a complicit army of fascism whose minds are completely under the control of warmongers and fascists in power.

When you add in the bogey man of the moment, the chosen Muslim Arab enemy for years implanted into our minds by government and corporate propaganda, seen in television, movies and the realm of fictionalized violence, replacing the Indian and the Soviet and the black and the Vietnamese as the enemy required to hijack the thoughts of the average American, needed to induce fear and enslave fogged minds, the brain begins associating negative feelings of hatred onto this scapegoated ethnic and religious group. Fear commences its powers of erosion, stripping rational and analytical thought from the human brain, replacing hatred and thirst for violence against the latest enemy to grace the collective imagination of Americans. Ignorance, fear of the unknown and conditioned fear of dark-skinned enemies combine to form a deadly cocktail of hatred, manipulated into the American mind by government and those whose interests lie in marginalizing Arabs, that furthers the recruitment of the army of fascism as well as the fictional “war on terror.”

Combined with the creation of a completely dumbed down, ignorant, believe-anything, nationalistic-driven, violence-conditioned, fiction-living, theology-brainwashed, fear-induced, schizophrenically-manipulated, paranoid-delusional segment of the American population, the recipe is ripe for those in power to sound the drums of perpetual war for perpetual profit, using their new and ever-growing army of fascism, blind to the tunes of reality, to unveil the erosion of civil rights, freedoms and democracy at home and the mass murder of untold thousands abroad in an immoral attempt at achieving imperial hegemony.

Using the ignorance of the army of fascism to its advantage, this cabal of corruption is giving birth to corporatism, transforming the nation into a conduit for despotic rule in a police-state environment, where the army of fascism is used against itself, for the attainment of a continued form of corporate feudalism, and as a tool in fighting the other half of the population that refuses to accept the master plans of those in control or to bow down to the dictates of tyranny.

An army dumbed down by an anemic educational system whose only purpose is the systematic transformation of little primates into obedient, non-thinking drones loyal to the government that exploits and the corporations that enslave them has become a reality which today we can see in the tens of millions, perhaps half the population of the United States, that gives a thumbs up to mass murder, torture, gulags and the destruction of an entire society by their vote for warmongers, greed addicts and power hungry corrupters of civilization.

Brainwashed from birth to adore the red, white and blue, trained to never question the authority of government or the decisions of politicians, conditioned in the fine arts of nationalistic propaganda, manipulated into loyalty to the state and deceived to the altruistic fictions of American history, children are subjected to an education designed to eradicate free-thinking minds, transforming questioning entities into subservient soldiers devoid of rebellion or resistance to bad governance. Educated to avoid seeking truth, taught to inhale as fact whatever the government states, children are methodically robbed of their natural desire to question the world around them, failing to seek accountability of authority and their innate desire for truth searching.

After years of dumbed down education, in schools that serve to hinder knowledge and evolving intelligence thanks to rotten curriculums and decrepit resources, children become the molded adult drones of the state, unthinking, unknowing and unquestioning. The mockery that is American education, purposefully instituted by those in power, spits out a populace that fails to grasp the world around them, lacking curiosity, creativity and an ounce of knowledge of history, current events, politics, foreign nations, the arts, science, culture, geography and common sense.

An assembly line of ignorance and indifference is created through years of abandon, both educational and parental, that is transforming American society into a culture lacking the precepts of human understanding. The wisdom of older societies is recklessly disregarded, the sophistication of cultures is frowned upon, the lessons of history are arrogantly trampled on, the convergence of diversity spawns fear and the advice of old friends is discarded. To the army of fascism, America does not need advice or assistance or friends or historical lessons. We are the greatest nation that ever lived, unable to do wrong, unable to condemn billions to misery and virtual enslavement, the chalice of altruism, the seeker of good, the defender of freedom, the protector of democracy and the Almighty’s chosen nation. America is an unbeatable superpower, emanating arrogance and cockiness, the most triumphant society that ever existed, free to do with the world and its peoples whatever suits its needs. Unfortunately, after years of brainwashing, the army of fascism believes just about anything, unwilling to even contemplate the minimal idea that all they have ever learned is false, based on propaganda and conditioning of minds, blitzkrieged into their brains for the benefit of the state and the corporate world that owns it.

The army of fascism chooses to live in fantasy, unwilling to discard their tiny bubble protecting them from confronting reality. To them truth is stressful, reality is frightful, ignorance is bliss, and escaping the illusion they watch on Fox News or any other corporate propaganda channel is an exercise they would rather not confront. Their bubble is their paradise, no matter how pathetically delusional it may seem, no matter how obviously false it appears and no matter how much it is eroded by the plethora of truth attacking the fables and fictions sustaining their delicate web of concocted bull manure.

To the tens of millions living inside the rabbit hole, Earth, its lands, nations, cultures and peoples are as alien as the vast expanse of universe, science and nature as hazy as history and knowledge. The reality of what the United States has been since its inception, an Evil Empire laying waste to billions of world citizens and their lives, is never taught to the very citizens now affected by the blowback inherent in perpetuating human malice throughout the globe. Instead, we are told the world hates us for our freedoms and rights, that billions are angered at us because we are such a great nation. The truth, it seems, is always discarded for fiction, and the army of fascism gobbles it up like Thanksgiving turkey, forever wanting to escape knowing painful truths by smearing themselves in euphoric falsity.

Hijacked Fiction, Hypnotized Minds

As if hypnotized by the thunderous sound of its marching boots, the army of fascism, millions of worker bees and soldier ants laboriously furthering the interests of state fascism, surrenders itself to its masters sounding the trumpets of fear and hatred. Ever since 9/11, millions of Americans have experienced a profound shift in their psyche, becoming, over time and thanks to ceaseless corporatist manipulation and propaganda, the mirror image of what they perceive their enemy to be.

They have become, in a sense, what they most fear, the nighttime bogeyman lurking in dark corners and black shadows, emulating the behaviors and psychology of how they are told the enemy behaves, casting a long dry spell of hatred and racism over the lands of America, awakening from horrible nightmares to find themselves afflicted by paranoia and schizophrenia, possessed by hatred and seething anger, unable to listen or see, made deaf and blind to reality and unable to exorcise from their minds the horrible disfigurement to the national character spawned by the ghosts of 9/11. They have, for all intents and purposes, become the enemy they fear most.

It is exactly the manipulation of fear and hatred by those who control, spawned by 9/11 and its post traumatic stresses that has elevated the numbers joining the army of fascism. A plague presently afflicts the United States, born in sin and broken psychology, rendering once capable minds as weak as rotting wood, impregnating in the ignorant among us deep hatreds and angers giving rise to increased levels of xenophobia and a growing search for scapegoats.

The fear prevalent in the army of fascism, tirelessly manipulated and exploited by the Bush administration, birthed by the horrors of 9/11 and the correspondent images no human society has ever had to experience, played live and replayed countless times via multiple camera angels and narrated through various media outlets and personalities, immediately bombarded by anti-Arab propaganda by the corporate media, has given rise to a racist hatred seldom seen in the United States in the latter decades of the twentieth century.

It was 9/11, that sparkplug from which all hatred now derives, that spawned the beginning stages of the army of fascism. It was in the aftermath of the collapse of the twin towers in New York City that the early manifestations of mass change in the minds of vast portions of the populations could be seen. Suddenly, as if hit by a powerful surge of psychosis, millions of Americans became conduits of seething anger, no doubt affected by high doses of post traumatic stress disorder and of feelings of catastrophe, uncertainty and bewilderment.

The world Americans had once known changed in the rapid transgressions of a few horrific hours, popping long-lasting bubbles of invincibility and security that had for years insulated the populace from the carnage, fear and human wickedness that befell the rest of humanity, most of it at the hands of America and its vast legions of mercenaries of imperial control and domination. The new Pearl Harbor had been allowed to come into fruition, for it was the tool needed to mobilize a pacifist populace into war, introducing the fog of mass psychosis onto a suddenly fearful nation, in the greatest psychological warfare operation ever conducted, on the way to neocon and military-industrial complex pre-planned mastery of world hegemony. Along with falling towers, the fall of American rationality and analytical thought was not far behind.

Implanted into the minds of now fragile human brains, the violence witnessed and conditioned into our psyches by endless videotaped repetition and immediate talking head jingoistic tirades was no longer relegated to the giant screens or the television monitors or the video games. It no longer lived in third world countries or was monopolized exclusively by dark-skinned peoples. Violence was suddenly scary real, a shocking energy of carnage, death and destruction imported to once safe shores, crumbling the fabric of a society’s entire psychology. This was not a movie, nor the work of special effects capturing the latest digital technology for our viewing pleasure. This was no longer the fiction we had for too long enjoyed along with popcorn and soda and stadium seating.

Soon, through vast media/government propaganda, manipulation and conditioning, the collective wrath of an entire nation was thrust upon the people’s and lands of the Middle East, for a convenient enemy allowing for pre-planned wars of pillage and conquest had already been chosen. Muslims, long marginalized in movies and the media, became the newest bogey man to grace the long line of chosen American enemies. It was their lands and valuably needed resources, the geo-strategic location of their homes, their global position on the way to imperial hegemony, their threat to Israel that condemned millions of Afghans and Iraqis, and perhaps soon Iranians and Syrians, to the full might of American military evil.

Through careful propaganda, then, the American people were blitzkrieged with the seeds of hatred and ignorance, fed a vast assortment of misrepresentations and lies that linger to this day. Weapons of mass deception were introduced via the airwaves and into televisions and radios, designed to plant the foundations and pretexts for embarking on wars of aggression. With the public in the collective grip of those in power, fragile, fearful, ignorant, insecure, paranoid and schizophrenic, bowing down to the power of our animal instincts, desperately needing feelings of protection and security, ready to accept whatever lie was placed at our knees, enraged at an enemy we were told hated us for our freedoms, suffering from the effects of massive post traumatic stress disorder and willing to place our trust and futures on those we have since birth been brainwashed to obey and follow, the project for a new American century could commence.

A nebula of fear gripped the nation, thoroughly exploited by the right wing, government, media and the military-industrial complex, suddenly transforming a man of questionable courage and apparent mediocrity, with no discernable leadership skills, possessing not an ounce of morals, into a Dear Leader of unquestioned character, strength and leadership. The puppet of the corporatist world had, in the time it takes to read ‘My Pet Goat,’ become an appointed conduit of the Almighty, an heir to greatness, on the way to perpetual war, and perpetual profit and wealth, lest we forget. The questioning of the President and of government was discouraged and threatened. After all, we were either with the President or with the ‘terrorists.’ Dissent was quashed, protest was made extinct, discourse was nonexistent and debate was nowhere to be found. The myth of the Dear Leader firmly entrenched thanks to massive Rovian propaganda campaigns, his re-selection by both the vote of the army of fascism and the corruption of elections was a foregone conclusion.

In time the healing began, and with it returned the rational and analytical thinking minds of hundreds of millions of Americans. As time passed most of the nation began to escape the clouds of 9/11, awakening to the lies and the deceits and the many manipulations that pushed a nation to war, in a sense returning to normalcy and exorcising the demons of lingering stresses and fears. The realization emerged in the minds of millions that pre-emptive wars had been based on nothing but lies, all now proven to be false, all destroyed by reality and rational thought.

Slowly, the fictional war on terror is being discovered for what it is, a charade, a fear-engendering escapade, created to control and command, to breed power and profit, a mirage whose tentacles are used as tools in the pursuit of conquest of land, people and resources. Used like the Cold War, birthing fear into the populace through the use of fantasy bogey men lurking in the shadows, said ready to kill for our freedoms and ready to attack for our way of life, the war on terror is a control mechanism, a way to lead a nation in a certain and most ignoble direction, based on lies and manipulations, needing a concocted enemy to thrive, misdirecting the attention and energy of the people away from real internal problems, away from what is being done to them at home and in their name abroad.

The creation of a few charlatans and messianic Machiavellis in power, the ‘war on terror’ was concocted to consolidate power at home through the erosion of civil liberties, freedoms and democracy and to expand the empire’s hegemony abroad through ruthless devastation and destruction of both land and man, exploiting and oppressing peoples whose homes the Empire needs to continue the global chess match called geopolitical maneuvering. The ‘war on terror’ is a useless game that selected as enemy a most ambiguous entity, unlike the Soviet threat, without borders or faces or uniforms, allowing for its fictions to continue lingering into perpetuity, making the American people acquiescent slaves firmly controlled by fear and insecurity, their rights and freedoms evaporating more each day. It has selected over a billion people as enemies when only a few thousand exist, allowing the military-energy-industrial complex unfettered profit and wealth through war, conquest, ceaseless production, pillage and the robbery of American treasure.

The ‘war on terror’ is one more fiction created by those at the top to retain power, distracting and dividing the nation away from the rape of their ways of life, allowing a warmongering corporatist government the means to expand its power, making 300 million people fight themselves instead of the real enemy at the top, even as their lives are placed in ever more danger thanks to a self-defeating, unwinnable and perpetual conflict. Thankfully, more and more citizens of America are waking up to the façade that is the ‘war on terror,’ joining the rest of humanity in seeing that a corrupt few have exploited the honorable many.

Dangers Real and Perceived

Yet, for about forty percent of the population, the ‘war on terror’ is as real as night and day, a most important war against the hated Arab heathens who share neither religion nor culture nor skin color with noble America. To the army of fascism, Arabs are evildoers extraordinaire, savages and primitives intent on killing all of what America stands for. They are barbarians, a people worshipping false gods and idols, mere subhuman animals willing to kill themselves, the army of Satan and reincarnations of demons past. They are an enemy that must be defeated and exterminated, whatever the cost, whatever the consequences. This belief by the army of fascism, however, is one based on ignorance, the belief of fantasy and a sheer weak-minded capacity to distinguish fact from fiction. When bombarded by a Zionist-first media and scapegoat-needing government, using a massive and methodical propaganda campaign, though, the Fox News and talk radio addicted army of fascism easily succumbs to such manipulations and lies.

While most Americans have recovered their senses in the years after 9/11, the army of fascism still remains trapped inside the clouds of asbestos and debris and smoke and dust, refusing to take the hand of truth and reality, firmly digging themselves inside the trenches of a horror-filled fantasy. Because they wish for its truth, they make it so, retaining the lies and deceits and manipulations they hear, never questioning for an instant the validity of such claim and never seeking their own education of such matters. Trained to always believe what they hear, they incorporate deceptive propaganda as their own, every day hating and fearing more and more, scapegoating an entire culture, religion and race, justifying their hatred and growing racism through the bull manure they hear and see on a daily basis.

The army of fascism remains deeply distraught by the horrors of 9/11, still possessed by its demons and its stresses, unable to exorcise the memories or ghosts of an operation allowed to succeed by the same heroes the army now religiously follows. Their outward bravado hides a deep inner fear, acting as their protective surrogate, for traumatized they remain and brainwashed they have been made to be. Psychologically fragile and mentally intimidated, they cling to the Dear Leader their monitors and radios command them to adore as a father figure in whom they seek protection and security. These millions are not able discern the falsity of the war on terror, nor the reality of what their ‘leader’ truly is, nor the true nature of the wars of conquest against Afghanistan and Iraq.

To the army of fascism, lies become truth just as much as reality becomes falsity. In their inescapable bubble, they see not how the world is but how they want the world to be, refusing to accept truth even as it showers them with unending facts and even as it utterly destroys the fictions they cannot let go of. These Americans remain traumatized and haunted by 9/11, clouding the rational and analytical thought processes they might have once possessed. Every hate and racist filled tirade by their favorite talking head vermin only validates in their minds the necessity to wage ceaseless war upon innocent Arabs and Muslims. Every diatribe they hear confirms their belief in the elimination and mass murder of hundreds of thousands of humans, replacing the goodness they once had with the thirst for malice that now runs through their veins.

They have become cold-blooded manifestations of their Dear Leader, the embodiment of all the psychopathic traits he possesses. They are the exact image of the President of the United States, indifferent, uncultured, unwise, callous, complicit, without love for their fellow human beings. Warm hearts have given way to frozen arteries, their desire to do harm to chosen scapegoats running rampant inside their bodies. They hate because they are told to hate, they wish death and destruction because they follow propaganda, never questioning anything but dissent. They fear because they are ignorant, they do not understand alien ways of life because they know nothing beyond their tiny bubbles, wishing instead to remain captives to the producer and consumer lifestyle they have been conditioned to follow.

They desperately cling to the beliefs that Arabs and Muslims are sub-human creatures and evildoers needing the salvation only America can provide. To them, America is bringing democracy and freedom to those it now occupies, and the noble intentions of the Bush administration are all that matters. The army of fascism refuses to see that tyranny was replaced by tyranny, that corruption has now been increased, that democracy is but a sham excuse to enslave and pillage, that an entire civilization lays in ruins and that 25 million people have had their lives shattered, that their tax dollars are being pilfered by corporate greed, that their sons and daughters are dying for nothing but the profit, wealth and power of the elite, that their rights and freedoms are being eliminated not by Arabs but by the leaders they shower with praise and adulation.

Millions of Americans are being transformed into conduits of hate and racism, citizens thirsting for Arab and Muslim blood and for the destruction of millions of lives. More and more we hear them talk about using nuclear bombs and WMDs to destroy Arabs. We hear them talk about curtailing Arab and Muslim civil rights and liberties in America, with cries of sending an entire race of people to internment and detention camps. We hear them validate war crimes and the death of over 100,000 innocent civilians, extolling the virtues of shooting and bombing Iraqis and Afghans to pieces. To these warmongers and violence seekers, the more Arab blood spilled the better.

To them torture under Saddam is horrific but under the red, white and blue, not to mention under the Star of David, it is encouraged and acceptable, no matter how sadistic and malevolent it becomes, no matter how much it contradicts basic foundations of humanity. Two dozen beheadings are condemned as barbaric yet the use of cluster bombs, missiles, napalm, bunker busters and 2,000 pound bombs that kill thousands and maim and decapitate countless more is seen as a civilized and necessary way to bring freedom and democracy to those we invade and occupy. To the army of fascism, an amalgam of Bush gulags is welcomed, and if death, torture and dehumanization results, so much the better. From Guantanamo, Cuba to Abu Ghraib, to prisons in Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Afghanistan, the army of fascism revels in the imprisonment of innocents and the torture of humans, wishing the keys to cages be thrown away for all eternity. The prisoners are Arab and Muslim, after all.

They approve destroying cities such as Fallujah, Najaf, Mosul and Sadr City in order to save them. Under no circumstances can they ever see the quagmire that is Iraq for what it is, nor the mistakes that have led to disaster and inevitable defeat. The army of fascism sees no problem appointing as Attorney General the man responsible for legalizing torture and endangering American soldiers. They feel comfortable keeping as Secretaries CEOs and executives of the corporate world that fleeces their lives. They look forward to a State Department run by a liar, conniver and unscrupulous cobra responsible for the death of over 100,000 innocent civilians. Ignorantly they allow the dangerous Likud-first neocons to remain pestering like flies in the halls of the White House and War and States Departments, hijacking foreign policy to the tunes of Israel’s delight. They rush to the polls to cast votes for the worst president in the history of the nation, having accomplished nothing but problems for the electorate since stealing the election of 2000, yet providing a treasure trove of favors to the corporate world.

Our Own Worst Enemies

The parameters of life in America were altered in one giant implosion of two towering monoliths, and the resulting psychosis which has ensued has only progressed further down the slope of the surreal. To America’s worker bees and soldier ants, hatred of Muslims and blatant racism of Arabs, combined with searing nationalism and growing ignorance of reality and the world, are fusing together to form a malicious combination of behaviors and psychology that is following a clear pattern of growth that, ever since 9/11, has multiplied in aggression.

Today, America is fast approaching a slippery slope of hatred, with xenophobia and homophobia at the frontlines, threatening to divide the nation and explode the fiery cauldron of diversity, creating a nation on the verge of implosion. Hate now fills the air, racism lingers in the environment, and, with ignorance the sparkplug of this most frightful engine, a new dawn fast approaches, pitting those blinded by hate, fear, ignorance and the clouds of 9/11 against those now free of demons, ghosts and inner turmoil.

Lines are being drawn in the sand, and slowly, yet surely, America is being divided based on the wars of George W. Bush. Hatred, fear, racism, fantasy, blind patriotism and corrosive ignorance stand on one side with the army of fascism. On the other side stands reality, courage, peace, love, diversity, world citizenship and education. The real danger is being played out today, with the army of fascism reporting dissent to the Department of Fatherland Insecurity, thereby placing anti-war voices on “terrorist watch lists,” with protest being confined to “free-speech zones,” with Republican politicians seeking to curtail still more rights, with right-wing Congressmen seeking to define dissent a psychological disease, with the army of fascism acting as national spies, keeping tabs on those not in tune with pro-war, pro-America, pro-Bush dictates.

This army is growing as the mass lunacy that has taken over America continues its reign of terror, invading minds and possessing spirits, catapulting inner turmoil and invasive demons onto the national stage. The army of fascism comprises your neighbors, friends and relatives, your co-workers, elected representatives and teachers. Hijacked by the psychosis of post-9/11, this army knows not what it does, doing the dirty work of the elite and warmongers who are unleashing devastation upon the green lands of Earth. They are captured by the fear exploited every day by those in power, exchanging once held sanity for evolving hatred and brewing racism.

The danger lies in another violent attack upon the nation, whether real or concocted, for the army of fascism will undoubtedly wage war against Arab and Muslim Americans, against those seeking peace, tolerance and justice, and against those not espousing the beliefs of the fascists in government. Another bombing or unconventional attack will result in the complete assault of civil rights, freedoms and habeas corpus, resulting in the complete fascist overhaul of American society, the introduction of a police state and the implementation of repression and subjugation of large segments of the population, no doubt abetted by the growing legions of the army of fascism.

Resurrected from the catacombs of lunacy and human wickedness past, mutating to the dictates of malice and corruption present, becoming the oxygen by which tyrants thrive, the voices by which hate prospers and the muscle by which the worst in the human condition grows, the army of fascism, birthed by brainwashed conditioning and bred in ignorance, unwillingly serves the masters who have created it, becoming its own worst enemy, the force that will self implode upon the evisceration of the freedoms, rights and democracy it took for granted.

Soon, when the forces of corporatism no longer need the army that so blindly follows, the awakening of millions will arrive too late, and from the long slumber of post 9/11 hysteria millions of minds will realize the self-implosion they wrought onto themselves, wishing they had only known, wishing they had been wiser to the propaganda, wishing to wake from the horrible nightmare now confronting their lives. Until then, however, they are helping lead us all directly into the wretched path of despotism of old and fascism of new, pulverizing our relations with the outside world and making extinct the life we once knew to exist.

Worker bees and soldier ants are condemning us all, for their numbers are many, possibly reaching half the citizenry, helping to keep in power the most unscrupulous cabal of human refuse to ever stand perched atop the halls of power. The world entire will have to suffer for the post 9/11 traumatic stress disorder affecting tens of millions of Americans who cannot escape the demons of crashing planes and falling towers, played and replayed countless times on video, in dreams and in the mind, that can now be seen as the sparkplug that launched America into a realm of lunacy, paranoia and incalculable human wickedness.

As the evolution and continued growth of the army of fascism persists, the decline of what America once espoused continues. We are becoming, in the end, our own worst enemies.
